Anthony John Connolly
He was born on the 5th of October 1958 and died on the 19th of October 2006 after a 3 month battle
in hospital.He was 48 years old when he was took away from us.
God only takes the best, and the day my dad was took away from us, God must have been looking for an
extra special angel and he certainly has gained one.
My dad Tony (my best friend) was born in Gateshead and throughout his life, lived in different
parts of Gateshead, mainly in Low Fell. He worked as a printer and had his own printing buisness,
aswell as doing Northern Soul DJ'n at Wigan Casino.
When he was younger, he used to organise and run trips from Gateshead to Wigan Casino, so he was
very well known and respected.This was proved when 600+ people turned up at his funeral. We held a
northern soul disco on the night of his funeral and the only thing that was missing was him
(the greatest dancer). One of his greatest talents was his northern soul dancing, when i was younger
he would pour talc over the floor and northern soul, he used to try so hard to teach me how to do it
but i never quite got the hang of it, he used to laugh and say i had two left feet. Before the disco
we held for him, me and my cousin Nicola practised till we got the hang of it and i and i know he
would of been proud, watching down on us northern souling as he used to say we both had two left
feet and he would call Nicola "Aveline" as she always wears high shoes, he would tell her
she would never be able to northern soul in high shoes but she managed at the disco, he would of
been looking down on us and laughing.
In april this year, there was a northern disco held in his memory and i know he really would have
been ther, dancing next to, he really was the greatest dancer.
Everyone who knew or met my dad had lots of respect for him as he was such a gentleman and got
along with everyone.
Although he only lived such a short life, he achieved so much and had a fun and exciting life. He
is missed dearly by me and my little brother Michael, his sister Julie, brother Shaun, neice Nicola,
and nephew Joseph aswell as good friend Jackie who also has a page on here for him, and not
forgetting all other family and friends.
Not a day goes by when he isnt in our thoughts, he is missed terribly but is now at peace and he
has joined his mam, dad, gran and other friends and family up there.

Luther Vandross-So amazing- This was a song he loved, it was his wedding song aswell as funeral
song.

Good evening my shining star, im pleased to say that im back on line and its the first full night ive spent in the house in wks. Well as you will no my telly has packed up totally gone off and guess what yes just an inch out of its warranty typical all that money to last a year a could of been on a cruise lol. But never mind its just a TV. Well not much happening appart from our Dionne got a job at your friend Robert Anthonys shop and she loves it. But the best thing ever is that your Kid SHAUN has done you proud he has done all of us proud he has not touched a drink since New Years Eve, he looks 20 yrs younger and i take my hat off to him cause i dont think there are many of us could do it, what a man. Been speaking to Grant he talks about you all the time God love him he misses you just like us. He has been so concerned about Shaun our Shaun loves him he says Grant reminds him of you cause you were so close, as the same with me he reminds me of you to. Are and bless him he has took on your role with the invites to our Dionnes 18th, and he is paying for them done how nice. Dionne says to me the other day Nic do you no who could do my invites and i said no i left all my partys to ya DAD. It made me very choked when Grant did that for her. Went to see my counceller on Mon and he says i am really grieving, i told him how it was and he said i was a big softy ha. Uncle Tony i cant put into words how much i love you the pain is there it wont ever go away but is berable because of the memories, i just keep thinking of all the good times we had i miss you all the world take care of your loved ones especially the kids our Michael is a pure dream hes gonna be the heart breaker, so if he is brill at footie and blinks those big blue eyes (who he gets from Faye by the way) then the little super star wont need to chat up no one the will just fall to his feet. Good evening my shining star, Uncle Tony i miss you so much, dont no whats up with me but i cant stop thinking of you even more the past few days. Im at Uncle Shauns to use our Dionnes Lap top coz i still aint paid my bill. Never finished wk till 8.30 t night am absolutely wrecked. Am foaming my big telly broke 2 month out its warranty £1500 for a TV to last a year gonna have to claim on insurance the robbing twats. Good evening Heavens finest ever Angel hope your ok. So sorry i aint been on properly for a good while but my internet is off and i need to pay the bill, so ive been using my Dionnes lap top at our Shauns. Not been alot to say coz its just the same old Shit down here babe, and i dont need to sit on here and explain how much i love you, cause any one who reads these messages and knows us will no the love i had for you, and each day it grows stronger but in a funny way coz i am loving you but your not there to love me back, but i no your with me as you proved it and i have took pics in my 4ne to prove it, it was unreal you were so so showing you were in mine.
